USA - Day 13

New Providence, New Jersey

WE ARE IN NEW JERSEY. Yes, it is correct we have reached one of our final stops as a family of this USA adventure and last but not least we have made it to our family in New Jersey to spend our last few days with. Today was a day of traveling for the most part, I'm pooped so I am in bed early and writing my blog for today while Im still alert(or as alert as an extremely tired teenager at 10.45 who is still minorly suffering from jet lag can be). We had a prompt start with everyone dressed, packed and checked out of the hotel by 9.30 where we got a taxi to Union Station to get our train to take us to the 'Garden State'. Managing to pick up a Starbucks before embarking on our journey, I was excited to chill and take in the scenery whilst reading my book, predicting the next few days in the town or New York City will be full on and will require high energy levels.

It would have been a great journey if it wasn't for the multiple unexpected stops as the trains motor was experiencing difficulties and made a horrible smell of burning rubber on the train...anyway, the time flew by and before we knew it, we were off the train and on our way to New Providence with our family chatting away as if we were just catching up for a coffee.

I am now slowly falling asleep as I type in what they call the 'Flag 'room.
Make sure to check up tomorrow to read about our first impressions  of New York City, cyaa
