Boston > Mount Desert Island
Fiona here :) Hi guys! Today was yet another long day (best way to make the most of your holiday if you ask me!!) where we got up early in our wee hotel room in Boston and went to sleep in the most fantastic bedroom in the house of Ron and Sandie in Bar Harbour, Maine. Good day all 'n all.
Once we had out breakfast we checked out and headed into downtown Boston where we dropped our bags off at the bus station an went for a walk about till out bus left at 4. We walked about China town and up through to the town centre. Since the day was very hot we grabbed a quick beer in the sun before we headed up through the Italian quarters and back to the bus station.

A good family friend, Ron Beard, picked us up from the bus station to drive us the final destination on the wee island of Mont Desert Island, where he and his wife Sandie and live. Their house is fantastic! I think my dad want to move in and not leave...and after seeing the rest of the house (and our room) I think the rest of us feel the same!!!
We sat and talked in the kitchen for a while but then headed to bed and W.O.W. what a view when we turned off the lights!! Because the house is on the edge of is National Park there is no light pollution and since the sky was so clear the view of the stars was mind blowing! Te room Catriona and I have is on the VERY top of the house and has 2 massive 12ft wide semi-circle windows...that said , we lay awake for a good 30mins just looking at the stars :)
