USA- Day 9

Bar Harbor, Maine

As this was our last day in Maine we all decided to use our time wisely and savour our time in the company of Ron and Sandie. I woke up with the sun gleeming in my face and my mum saying to get up, Fiona was up very early and decided to go for a 2 mile run..crazy.

Breakfast was served soon after that with the table loaded with Pancakes and Maine Maple syrup, yummm! Then we all began packing whilst getting ready for our hike. We headed out to the abbe museum of the Native Americans firstly, which was in The national park. Then we went out to the Acadia wild garden... The weather was great and we made our way on one of the carriage trails to Eagle lake where we settled for a picnic lunch. Then we headed off again on a loop carriage trail and enjoyed the sights and smells of Maine which we won't see for a long while.

Heading back to the house we all just chilled out, soaking up the sun, do some final packing and reading our books. Once we were all geared up for the night we headed out to The other Abbe Museum to see the exhibition of the native americans whose land is in the Mount Desert Island area which was very interesting! Then we headed to to Reel Pizza, a movie theatre in Bar Harbor which has a pizzeria within it, so you basically watch a movie on the big screen whilst enjoying your dinner on a sofa. We watched 'Frances Ha' which was an indie film, everyone didn't not like it but I really enjoyed it!

Later, we just wound down watching 'the Hobbit' and then went to bed early for a 3am wake-up call next morning.
Cya soon
